7 News - FRV COVID-19 Vaccine mandate standoff
July 17th, 2023
7 News reported on Fire Rescue Victoria’s controversial decision to blatantly roll through a revocation of legislation that they were utilising to collect and use Firefighters’ private protection immunisation information, in order to enforce mandatory vaccination.
Worksafe Victoria confirmed that the revocation would deny employers to authority to use the information they had collected beyond the revocation, and that it must be destroyed within 30 days.
FRV claims they can continue collecting, recording and using employee immunisation information under a “range of laws”.
